The Perseid meteor shower — debris from comet Swift-Tuttle — lights up the sky each August as Earth passes through its trail. Hundreds of streaks per hour. Brief, brilliant, purposeful. We chose this as our name because we believe in burning bright with intent, not drifting aimlessly.

Rest & Reflect
We stop. No sprints, no standups, no deliverables. The first day is sacred stillness — a full break from the velocity of building. We rest, we read, we walk. We let the mind decompress from the noise of execution.
Recalibrate
The second day is for honest conversation. Where are we going? Are we still aligned with why we started? We review the year — not the metrics, but the meaning. We ask the hard questions about direction, values, and what we are truly building toward.
Reimagine
The third day is generative. Freed from the weight of the present, we dream about what could exist. New ventures, new ideas, new ways to build a better future. Every major Perseid initiative has had its seed planted on an August 13th.
Speed without direction is just noise.
The modern world rewards relentless output. We reject the idea that busyness equals progress. Perseid Day exists because we believe the most important work sometimes happens when you are not working — when you give your mind the space to see clearly.
Companies that never pause never course-correct. We built this tradition into our calendar before we built our first product. It is not a reward for hard work. It is a prerequisite for good work.
